Istanbul Kültür University Department of Communication and Design has been providing education in the field of Visual Communication Design (Multimedia) since the 2002-2003 academic year, with its well-known and productive expert teaching staff and an arts-based education approach.
Our aim in the Department of Communication and Design, which has an art-based and practice-oriented education, is to increase the creativity of our students, who will be the graphic, multimedia photography and video artists of the future, within the framework of an interdisciplinary education approach, and to ensure that they have a visual portfolio that best reflects and introduces them when they graduate.
The graduates of the Department of Communication and Design can specialize in Graphic Design, Web and Interface Design, Video Editing, Digital Content Production, Social Media Management, Directory of Photography, and work in the sector without being bound to media, digital platforms, design and advertising agencies.

The Mission of the Department
The most important mission of the Department of Communication and Design is to train designers and artists who can accurately capture today's rapidly changing technological and cultural perception and go beyond by having the potential to contribute to this. The main goal is that every student studying in the Department of Communication and Design, where the understanding of education and training is determined meticulously within the framework of this mission, has all the theoretical and aesthetic equipment of artistic creativity.

In the Department of Communication and Design, each student is encouraged to be a designer and artist who can design original works in accordance with the qualifications required by the era, and to participate in national and international art and design projects. In the department where the cooperation arising from the fields of theory and practice forms the basis of the understanding of education, highly competent faculty members in the field of theory and professionals from practice take place in the academic staff together.
