AWARD FORT THE FILM “THINGS I LEARNED AT THE AGE OF 30”

The documentary film “Things I Learned at the Age of 30”, directed by Res. Assist. Sezer Ağgez, one of our academicians from the Department of Communication and Design, was awarded the “Best Documentary Film Award” in the National Short Film and Documentary Competition organized for the 45th time this year by IFSAK, one of Türkiye’s longest-established associations.

RES. ASSIST. SEZER AĞGEZ WILL COMPETE FOR FIRST PLACE WITH HIS SHORT DOCUMENTARY

The short documentary “Things I Learned at 30” directed by Res. Assist. Sezer Ağgez, our faculty member from the Department of Communication and Design, has been selected as a finalist at the 19th Boston Turkish Film Festival. This year, 16 documentary films will compete for the first prize at the festival, which will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, between November 23 and December 6, 2024.

DESIGNING A BOARD GAME & INTERVIEW WITH TUNCA ZEKİ BERKKURT

The Department of Communication and Design organized an interview with Tunca Zeki Berkkurt, one of the few board game designers in Türkiye, whose latest game İnkılâp is on sale after two different board games named İhtilal and İttihat, on Wednesday, May 15 at 15.00 at the Design Factory in our Bakırköy campus Ataköy building. Berkkurt shared his personal experiences and observations on his introduction to board games, game spaces and groups in Türkiye, as well as his experiences on the financing of his latest game, its visual design and the design process of the playing mechanics.
